Architect Role Summary
Light Rail Infrastructure Project | Location: London (international collaboration) | Start: ASAP | Contract: 6-month fixed term
We’re supporting a leading design studio seeking an architect to help deliver a major light rail extension, including seven new stations and a coordinated “kit of parts” approach within a wider infrastructure programme.
The studio leads on two stations alongside wider line-wide design elements. The team of c.20 is split between London and an international partner office, working across advanced design stages.
The project is currently at (Stage 3+) and moving into detailed design, progressing toward final construction documentation by the end of 2026.
Role Overview
Architect role on a live infrastructure project at advanced design stage. You’ll support coordination and development of station and line-wide packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate station and line-wide design packages
- Support Stage 3+ / Stage 4 design development
- Assist with modular “kit of parts” elements
- Coordinate across UK and international teams
- Produce information for detailed design and construction stages
- Maintain design intent through delivery
Requirements
- Experience in infrastructure, transport, or large-scale complex projects
- Strong Stage 3 / Stage 4 experience
- Confident working in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong design coordination and technical delivery skills
- Rail / transit experience desirable
- Available immediately or at short notice
