HAUS Careers is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a driven and design-conscious Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect to join a creative architectural studio based in Central London. Known for its thoughtful approach to commercial and retrofit architecture, the practice delivers carefully crafted projects across a range of existing and heritage buildings throughout the city.
This position would suit a motivated young professional looking to build strong technical and delivery experience within a supportive, collaborative environment.
The Opportunity
You’ll become part of a close-knit team working across a variety of commercial refurbishment and retrofit schemes, supporting projects from design development through to technical delivery. The role offers excellent exposure to RIBA Stages 3–5, with a strong emphasis on learning, coordination, and developing practical project experience using ArchiCAD.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and coordination of projects through RIBA Stages 3–5
- Produce drawing packages, models, and technical information in ArchiCAD
- Work closely with architects, consultants, and wider project teams
- Support the preparation of planning, technical, and construction documentation
- Help ensure projects align with UK Building Regulations and project requirements
- Contribute to design discussions and technical problem-solving
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail across all project work
Skills & Experience
- RIBA Part II qualified / ARB (for the architect role)
- Some professional experience within a UK architectural practice
- Interest or experience in commercial, retrofit, or refurbishment projects
- Strong ArchiCAD skills
- Good understanding of UK construction methods and Building Regulations
- Enthusiastic, organised, and keen to continue developing technically
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
