HAUS is proud to be working with one of the UK’s most progressive architectural practices in their search for a Healthcare Senior Architect to join their growing Manchester team.
With a legacy of delivering pioneering healthcare environments for over three decades, this top AJ100 studio continues to push boundaries in how architecture can improve patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Their Health + Care team is leading transformative change in the sector, and now is the perfect time to join their journey.
Why this Senior Architect role?
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to nationally significant healthcare projects—designing with purpose, mentoring rising talent, and pushing creative and technical boundaries in one of the most vital and fast-moving areas of architecture.
In this Senior Architect role, you’ll:
Lead and contribute to major UK and international healthcare schemes, including acute hospitals, diagnostic centres, and complex masterplans
Be actively involved in both early-stage design and technical delivery, with responsibility across key RIBA stages
Support and mentor junior team members, playing a key role in growing a collaborative and knowledge-driven studio culture
Engage with current research and sector innovation to help deliver designs that are both progressive and patient-focused
Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, coordinated project delivery
What we’re looking for:
ARB-registered architect with proven experience in healthcare design, ideally across both public and private healthcare sectors
A sound understanding of health planning, technical requirements, and regulatory frameworks
Experience delivering projects through RIBA stages 2–6, ideally in a leadership capacity
Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills, with a collaborative and proactive mindset
A genuine passion for designing spaces that support wellbeing, efficiency, and future healthcare needs
What’s in it for you?
You’ll join a studio that combines creativity and rigour in equal measure—where design quality is matched by a strong culture of support, recognition, and personal development. In return, you’ll receive:
£48,000–£60,000 salary, depending on experience
20 days holiday, plus one additional day per year of service (up to 25 days)
5% employer pension contribution
Cycle to Work scheme
Childcare vouchers
Life insurance
Friday drinks and a genuinely sociable studio environment
A clear pathway for career growth in a nationally recognised, design-led team.
If you’re ready to design for impact and lead within one of the UK’s most respected studios, we’d love to hear from you.
