Midweight Interior Designer
Midweight Interior Designer opportunity with a design-led, well-established interior studio based in Chelsea, specialising in high-end residential interiors. Established for over seven years, the studio is recognised as an industry tastemaker and has been featured by Elle Decoration as one of the “British Interior Designers to Know”.
Known for refined neutral palettes and an elegant blend of contemporary and antique pieces, the studio continues to grow its portfolio of bespoke luxury homes. This role suits a confident midweight designer who enjoys being involved across all stages of a project, with close support and mentorship from senior designers and the founders.
The Role
As Midweight Interior Designer, you will work across RIBA Stages 0 to 6, supporting the delivery of luxury residential projects from concept through to completion, gaining exposure to both creative and technical aspects of interior design.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with design concepts, mood boards and client presentations
- Produce technical drawing packages including GAs, RCPs, lighting plans, elevations and joinery details
- Develop design details such as bespoke joinery and panelling using SketchUp
- Support the creation and management of budgets, schedules and specifications in Excel
- Assist with FF&E sourcing across a range of budgets, including bespoke pieces
- Prepare FF&E schedules and support procurement processes
- Attend client meetings, presentations and site visits alongside senior designers
- Coordinate with suppliers, makers and contractors
- Support installation and final styling phases to ensure design intent is delivered
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience within a high-end residential interior design studio
- Strong technical foundations with a good eye for detail
- Confident communicator, comfortable working directly with clients when required
- Organised, proactive and keen to take ownership within projects
- Passion for luxury interiors and refined, detail-driven design
