What You’ll Be Doing
Take ownership of projects from concept to handover, acting as CDM and BC Principal Designer
Lead planning applications, client updates, and technical coordination across disciplines
Oversee design delivery and compliance with Building Regs, CDM, and the Building Safety Act
Run internal design reviews, mentor juniors, and manage outputs to ISO 19650 standards
Keep tight control of programme, budget, and risk while meeting quality and client goals
Lead stakeholder engagement, resolve compliance challenges, and maintain project momentum
Work across RIBA Stages 0–7 and coordinate with wider design teams and contractors
Support business development and contribute to bid writing, fee proposals, and client retention
What You’ll Bring
ARB-registered with 5–10 years’ post-qualification experience
Expert in compliance, technical design, and construction legislation
Confident managing high-risk buildings and complex residential schemes
Strong grasp of Revit, BIM coordination, and Common Data Environments
Hands-on knowledge of the Building Safety Act, CDM 2015, and ISO 9001
Track record of leading project teams, delivering efficiently, and mentoring juniors
Strategic thinker with strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
RIBA chartership and BC Principal Designer credentials a strong bonus
