The Role
As Senior FF and E Designer, you will lead luxury hospitality and residential projects from concept through to installation, overseeing every stage of the design process while mentoring junior team members and maintaining exceptional client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead FF and E design across multiple hospitality and residential projects
- Provide creative direction, mentorship, and guidance to junior team members
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, project managers, and suppliers
- Manage client presentations and meetings with confidence and professionalism
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery
- Prepare mood boards, material palettes, and presentation documents
- Source and curate furniture, antiques, artwork, and accessories
- Design bespoke pieces including case goods, upholstery, and lighting
- Develop and manage detailed FF and E schedules and specifications
- Oversee procurement, budgets, and logistics with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved
- Maintain the studio’s commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 12 years’ experience within the design industry
- At least 8 years’ experience delivering five-star hospitality projects from concept to completion
- Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of suppliers, artisans, and materials both locally and internationally
- Strong presentation and client-facing skills
- Proven experience managing budgets and procurement processes
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office
- Experience using Spec Designer or Estimac is advantageous
- Thorough knowledge of FF and E specification writing and management
- Confidence and discretion when working with high-profile clients
- A collaborative and proactive approach with the ability to lead by example
- Adaptable and calm under pressure within fast-paced project environments
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to travel internationally when required
