Associate Architect Role Summary
High-End Residential | West London | £55,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
A boutique, design-led architecture and interiors practice in London is seeking an Associate Architect / Senior Project Architect to join its senior team. This is a key hire for an experienced architect who combines strong project leadership with deep technical expertise.
The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of high-end residential projects from concept through delivery, while also acting as a technical lead and mentor across the wider studio.
This position would suit someone hands-on, commercially aware, and confident leading projects while helping elevate technical standards across a collaborative team.

The Role
Project Leadership
- Lead projects through RIBA Stages 2–5
- Take ownership of design development, coordination, and technical delivery
- Drive project progress from planning through completion
- Oversee consultant coordination and programme milestones
Technical Leadership
- Act as the studio’s go-to technical authority
- Lead complex detailing, buildability reviews, and delivery strategy
- Review drawing packages and support technical consistency across projects
- Provide guidance to Project Architects and junior staff
Design Quality & Coordination
- Lead Stage 3 and Stage 4 review processes
- Ensure design intent is maintained through technical development
- Identify coordination issues early and resolve efficiently
- Raise overall quality assurance standards across the studio
Client & Site Involvement
- Attend key client meetings as a senior architectural lead
- Provide confidence and credibility throughout project stages
- Support construction phase queries and occasional site attendance
About You
- ARB registered Architect or equivalent senior-level experience
- 6–12 years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong technical delivery experience across RIBA Stages 3–5
- Proven experience delivering high-end residential projects in London
- Listed building / heritage experience highly desirable
- Strong detailing and consultant coordination skills
- Confident reviewing work and making decisions
- Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused
