Associate / Associate Director – Residential Architecture
Location: London
Salary: £58,000–£75,000 DOE
Start: Ideally before Christmas, latest January
Hybrid: 4 days in office / 1 day WFH
A leading London architectural practice is seeking an experienced Associate or Associate Director to take the lead on a landmark residential development — a 30-storey tower delivering over 700 units across two major phases.
This opportunity is ideal for a delivery-focused senior architect who enjoys leading teams, taking ownership during technical stages, and remaining hands-on where needed. The practice is recognised for its collaborative culture, exceptional staff retention, and expertise in high-quality residential design.
The Role
As Associate / Associate Director, you will:
Lead a major multi-phase high-rise residential project at RIBA Stages 4–5
Oversee technical coordination, package delivery, and project performance
Manage, mentor and support a talented project team
Be proactive and willing to contribute to technical drawings when required
Collaborate closely with directors and clients to ensure successful delivery
About You
Minimum 8–10 years’ UK experience in residential architecture
Strong background in high-rise and large-scale housing
Proven leadership during technical and delivery stages
Skilled at managing multiple work packages and leading in-house teams
Excellent Revit capability (essential)
Practical, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
Availability to start within 1 month preferred
