BIM Technologist Role Summary

Fully Remote | UK | £40,000-£50,000 (DOE)

A growing digital construction consultancy is looking to appoint a BIM Technologist to join its specialist delivery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist, BIM Technician or technical design professional looking to develop their expertise within digital construction while working on some of the UK’s most technically challenging live projects. The role offers fully remote working, strong progression opportunities and exposure to major commercial, residential and specialist construction schemes nationwide.

About the Company

Our client is a specialist BIM and digital construction consultancy supporting contractors and specialist subcontractors across the UK construction sector.

Rather than operating as a traditional architectural practice, they work directly alongside delivery teams, helping clients coordinate complex project information, resolve technical challenges and improve construction delivery through BIM and digital workflows.

The business has developed a strong reputation for supporting specialist packages including façades, roofing, cladding, drylining and wider building envelope systems across high-profile UK developments.

With continued growth across multiple sectors, they are now seeking a BIM Technologist to strengthen their digital construction capability.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Director and working closely with the BIM Project Lead, you will support the delivery of coordinated BIM models, technical detailing and construction documentation across multiple live projects.

The role will focus heavily on detailed modelling, technical coordination and the production of high-quality project information throughout RIBA Stages 4–6.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing and coordinating detailed BIM models (LOD 350–400)

  • Developing coordinated 2D construction drawings and technical information

  • Supporting BIM coordination and clash detection workflows

  • Assisting with technical detailing and design coordination

  • Collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers

  • Maintaining accurate project information and documentation

  • Participating in quality assurance reviews and model checks

  • Working across multiple live construction projects simultaneously

Project Sectors

Projects include:

  • Commercial office developments

  • Residential and mixed-use schemes

  • Education projects

  • Specialist subcontractor packages

  • Roofing and cladding projects

  • Façade and building envelope systems

  • Healthcare and infrastructure projects

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience within a BIM, architectural or technical design role

  • Experience working on complex building projects through RIBA Stages 4–6

  • Strong Revit modelling and technical documentation skills

  • Experience producing coordinated construction information

  • Good understanding of BIM workflows and project coordination

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy

  • Ability to work effectively within a remote team environment

Essential Software Experience

  • Autodesk Revit

  • Autodesk Construction Cloud

  • Navisworks Manage

  • AutoCAD

  • IFC and data exchange workflows

Desirable Experience

  • ISO 19650 knowledge

  • Dynamo, pyRevit or DiRoots

  • Autodesk certifications

  • BIM coordination experience

  • Experience working on specialist subcontractor packages

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary starting from £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE)

  • Fully remote working

  • Semi-flexible working hours

  • Working from home allowance

  • Company pension

  • 21 days annual leave + bank holidays + birthday leave

  • Ongoing training and professional development

  • Career progression and leadership pathways

  • Supportive and collaborative team culture

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a consultancy that genuinely values technical quality, collaboration and continuous learning.

You’ll work closely with contractors and specialist trades on major UK construction projects while developing your expertise within a growing digital construction environment focused on practical project delivery rather than simply BIM production.

If this sounds like the right next step for you, please apply with your CV and Portfolio.
