Senior Digital Design (BIM) Support Specialist Role Summary
A Senior Digital Design (BIM) Support Specialist is required to join the London studio of a leading international architectural practice. This role provides hands-on technical support across project teams, ensuring digital excellence and design quality on landmark residential, heritage, and cultural projects.
With at least 10 years’ BIM and digital support experience in architecture, the successful candidate will act as a trusted adviser. Working closely with the Head of BIM, you’ll help shape digital strategy, evolve best practice, and upskill staff across the studio in digital delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert day-to-day support on Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Project CDE solutions, Atvero and related tools
- Lead digital coordination workshops, run model audits, and resolve consultant issues
- Champion compliance with BS EN ISO 19650, embedding BIM protocols across projects
- Develop and deliver training, CPDs, and workshops on modelling, setup, and workflows
- Support the Head of BIM in improving standards, templates, and digital guidance documents
- Oversee project information reviews to ensure client and practice compliance
- Provide guidance and mentoring to develop digital skills across the studio
- Collaborate with consultants, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance coordination
- Act as a senior point of contact for digital delivery queries across the London studio
- Capture and share lessons learned to shape practice-wide digital innovation strategies
The Successful Candidate:
- Background in architecture with a passion for digital tools and delivery support
- 10+ years’ experience in BIM/digital support roles within architecture
- Advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, ACC, and associated digital platforms
- Strong working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 with proven project experience
- BIM certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Confident communicator, able to lead training, workshops, and consultant meetings
- Experienced in supporting staff at all levels
- Proactive, organised, and committed to quality and compliance
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery
